We can make a difference
I was them. Now, we are the path forward.
We empower youth who have survived abuse, neglect, and unsafe living conditions to stabilize their lives and build a future.
Our Mission: Founded by a former foster youth, Kennu House's mission is to disrupt the cycle of trauma by providing stable housing, comprehensive resources, and transformative guidance to youth survivors of abuse and neglect. We provide the stability they need to secure a healthier, brighter future and a true sense of belonging.
Resources for housing
Our Safe Haven Initiative: Our critical priority is to transition from resource referral to direct, stable provision of shelter. We are actively working to purchase a property to serve as a safe haven for abused and neglected youth. This initiative is the focus of our current Capital Campaign, with a target completion date of October 2027. This property will allow us to provide emergency, short-term, and long-term housing under one roof.
⭐ Join Our Mission: Help Us Help Others
Every donation to Kennu House is a direct investment in disrupting the cycle of trauma.
As a survivor of the very circumstances our youth face, I know that a donation is more than a gift of resources—it is a gift of dignity and a critical step toward stability.
Your support ensures we can provide the foundational necessities for youth overcoming abuse and neglect:
• A Safe Haven: Funding our critical property acquisition to offer long-term, stable housing.
• Essential Needs: Providing reliable access to food, warm clothing, and school supplies.
• Empowerment: Sustaining our mentorship and counseling programs.
Every dollar helps a young person gain the stability they need to define their own future. Thank you for making a difference.
Make a difference
Our Trauma-Informed Approach: Change requires more than a roof; it requires a new foundation. Our approach is based on the conviction that stability creates the capacity to heal. We strive to ensure each child finds a true sense of belonging and community—the critical elements I know firsthand are necessary to secure a healthy future.
Volunteer & Partner with Us:
We rely on committed volunteers and community partners to deliver on our promise of stability and mentorship.
“Every youth we serve deserves what I fought so hard for: a true sense of home and belonging. With the support of our partners and community, we are not just providing resources—we are creating the stability they need to define their own future.”
— Delresha M. Parker, Founder, Kennu House
